September – November: Fall Festivities!
Join us once again for the magical time that only happens two months out of the year! Fresh local apples and fresh pressed apple cider will be available at the Farm Store along with pumpkins (arriving mid September). We have a variety of fun family activities included with admission including the Corn Maze, Trike Track, Visiting the Animals, Tunnel Slides, Tether Ball, Nature Walk, Play in the Creek, Corn Silo, Hay Pile, Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, and NEW THIS YEAR a farm-wide scavenger hunt with kid-friendly prizes. We also have rides available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3pm for an additional cost. Hay rides and Kiddie Cart rides are $3 each, and horse rides are $7 each.
UPDATE: Due to late fall weather, we are extending our fall festivities until winter weather arrives. Enjoy a fun-filled fall weekend at the farm through November!

11/16: Leonid Stargazing at the Farm
Join us to view one of the biggest meteor showers of the year at the farm with local astronomer and author Stephan Martin. While we’re enjoying the meteor show, we’ll also explore some of the stars, constellations, and other astronomical treasures of the fall night sky. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.

11/24: End of Year Inventory Clearance Sale- HNG Meats
While you are busy taking advantage of local retail sales for Black Friday Weekend, head over to the farm and stock up your freezer for holiday feasting! Our wholesale division is bringing over their delivery truck packed full of deeply discounted inventory BELOW WHOLESALE PRICES to make room for new stock. All meat will be frozen and individually sealed. The truck sale will take place from 11am-3pm.

12/7: New Moon Stargazing at the Farm
Join local astronomer and author Stephan Martin during the last new moon of 2018 for a tour of the stars and constellations of the late fall night sky above the farm. The winter constellations are making their first appearance, bringing with them some of the brightest stars in the sky. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.

12/8: HNG Holiday Market
We have built great relationships with many small local businesses in the Asheville area and carry their goods on a regular basis in our store. With so many connections to the local vendor scene, we have decided to host a special Holiday Market this year to get all of your gift buying accomplished in one place.
– Want to try out our CSA with no commitment? We’ll have sample bags for sale, come save 10%! Great opportunity to stock up your freezer before your Holiday guests arrive.
– We’ll be hosting local crafters, artisans, makers and food-smiths to build your gift baskets, get holiday supplies and support your local folk.
Plus, there will be a bonfire, s’mores, hot drinks, frosty beverages, hot and cold samples and more!
This is a FREE event, just come prepared to shop and have fun!
