9/22: Farm Tour with Jamie Ager
In addition to all of the awesome fall festivities happening at the farm, owner Jamie Ager is offering a complimentary farm tour included in your admission price on September 22nd. The tour will begin promptly at 1pm, so don’t be late. Jamie will lead the tour group around the farm and pastures providing an in-depth discussion on sustainable farming practices, how farmers can successfully use the land and animals in a harmonious way to provide better, healthier products for consumers, and much more!
The free farm tour is only offered twice per year, so don’t miss out.

9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21: Fall Barn Yoga with Mary Beth
Come join Mary Beth at Hickory Nut Gap Farm for yoga in the big barn! Sunday mornings September 30th through October 21st at 9am, letting out just in time for HNG brunch served farm fresh at 10! Start your Sunday with deep breaths and a delightful stretch in the beautiful fairview country side! Mary Beth guides an all level, vinyasa style class that’s suited for every body. The fall weather is perfectly cool and the pumpkin patch couldn’t be more magical, come get some autumnal good vibes! Barn yoga is a suggested donation of $10 cash or venom, namaste y’all!

10/5: Fall Stargazing & Cosmic Storytelling
Join local astronomer and author Stephan Martin on a tour of the stars and constellations of the fall night sky above the farm. We’ll discuss some of the myths of the constellations along with the seasonal changes in the sky at this time as well as some of the latest discoveries in astronomy and theories of the universe. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.

10/20: Spooky Maze and Costume Contest KIDS
A haunted corn maze, filled with spooky specters and ghastly ghouls! Followed up by a costume parade for big and little Halloweenies and a family friendly dance party! A local goodies bag will be provided for each little monster, and there will be drinks, snacks, a fire for roasting weenies and making s’mores. Put on your deadliest duds and freakiest faces to face this Spooky Maze! If you love taking your family to KidHop AND Halloweening, this party’s for you and your crew. All ages welcome.

11/1: 2nd Annual Sausage Festival
Music, house made sausages, local brews, musical chair competition with prize and lederhosen! What more could you want on a crisp fall day at the farm? HNG will be rolling out some specialty sausage recipes just for this event, not to be missed!

9/1 – 11/4: Fall Festivities!
Join us once again for the magical time that only happens two months out of the year! Fresh local apples and fresh pressed apple cider will be available at the Farm Store along with pumpkins (arriving mid September). We have a variety of fun family activities included with admission including the Corn Maze, Trike Track, Visiting the Animals, Tunnel Slides, Tether Ball, Nature Walk, Play in the Creek, Corn Silo, Hay Pile, Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, and NEW THIS YEAR a farm-wide scavenger hunt with kid-friendly prizes. We also have rides available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3pm for an additional cost. Hay rides and Kiddie Cart rides are $3 each, and horse rides are $7 each.

11/16: Leonid Stargazing at the Farm
Join us to view one of the biggest meteor showers of the year at the farm with local astronomer and author Stephan Martin. While we’re enjoying the meteor show, we’ll also explore some of the stars, constellations, and other astronomical treasures of the fall night sky. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.

12/7: New Moon Stargazing at the Farm
Join local astronomer and author Stephan Martin during the last new moon of 2018 for a tour of the stars and constellations of the late fall night sky above the farm. The winter constellations are making their first appearance, bringing with them some of the brightest stars in the sky. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.
