Job Posting: Line Cook

Description: As the line cook, this individual is responsible for the preparation and execution of Deli/Kitchen items. On week days needed, this person is responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the retail store building (kitchen, farm store, offices.)

Open Responsibilities/Qualifications

Responsibilities:

FOOD PREPARATION & EXECUTION
* Prepare deli and catered offerings following specifications of the Chef.
* Maintain accurate up-to-date lists of preparation needs.
* Work jointly with fellow cooks and staff members in an efficient and positive manner.
* Maintain the knowledge of ingredients and potential allergic components of food items.
* Assist Chef and fellow cooks with coordinating production with food prep assignments.
* Ability to multi-task and work in a high-paced and efficient manner.

DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE/DISHWASHING RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain the kitchen in a sanitary and orderly condition, following guidelines set by the Chef.
* Washing and bussing of dishes and kitchen small-wares, etc.
* Perform the daily scheduled Farm Store and Event Space clean-up.
* Take out trash and recycling daily.
* Follow safety, storage and labeling procedures.
* Inform Chef of equipment repair and replacement needs when they occur.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintaining an accurate account of the hours worked during the work week.
* Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in an efficient and positive manner.
* Receptive to assisting customers with items from the butcher case and deli counter.
* Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Chef.

QUALIFICATIONS
* At least one year of experience in cooking for a deli, restaurant, or catering. (Restaurant exp. preferred.)
* Working knowledge and interest in Farm-To-Table cuisine, with an understanding of dietary restrictions.
* Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands.
* Ability to receive and execute instruction as presented by the Chef of fellow cooks.
* Organized, attention to detail.
* Ability to lift 60 lbs.
* Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment.
* Valid Driver’s License.

Description: As the dishwasher, this person is responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the retail store building (kitchen, farm store, offices.) On days scheduled as the butcher’s assistant, this individual is responsible for the packaging and handling of meat products.

DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for the set up and execution of all Weekend Farm Events.  This includes but is not limited to, Admission sales, Assisting customers with questions , set up and breakdown of events, serving food and alcohol.

Description: As the Sous Chef, this individual is responsible for the preparation and execution of Deli/Kitchen items. The Sous is accountable for an accurate inventory of prepped and non-prepped food items, thus ensuring smooth and efficient services. This position will also direct and assist fellow cooks in proficiently completing their assigned tasks, as well as lead the Deli team in the absence of the Executive Chef.
