Pastured Chicken...is so much better

Pastured chicken is tender and flavorful. They are great cooked whole as a roaster or cut into pieces and frozen for smaller meals later.

One day old chicks are delivered to the local post office where the postal employees are happy to see us take home the chirping birds! Once back at the farm we brood them our brooder house for about two weeks. At that time they are moved into our large portable houses and enclosed in netting which allows the chickens to explore the outside world of grass and insects. Our chickens are fed grain purchased from a local mill. As of right now buying organic grain is not an economical option in Western North Carolina, but as organic infrastructure emerges we hope to patronize those farmers and be able to provide a organic product to our customers at a reasonable cost.

Chickens are currently available in our farm store and at the farmers market. Please stop in to purchase one. If you would like to reserve 10 or more chickens, orders are currently being taken.
