Weekends 9-6 pm

For 20 years Hickory Nut Gap Farm apple stand has operated at the Old Sherrills Inn along 74-A, luring folks thirsty for a freshly picked apple as they made their way up the mountain to Chimney Rock Park. Well we are still selling apples, but in our new location, just eight miles from Interstates 40 and 240 down 74-A, off Sugar Hollow Road. It is the same place as the Hickory Nut Gap Meats farm store and where the horse camp takes place.

We grow and harvest 10 acres of a variety of apples including Macintosh, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Staymen Winesap, Rome Beauty, Gala, and many many more. We also sell apples from other local Hendersonville producers, some of which are organically certified. The frost did affect almost all of our 2007 apple crop. Our apple stand will still be open this fall with any apples we can find from other local growers.

Our apple stand and farm store has an array of locally made products. Haw Creek Honey has been supplying our stand for years in flavors such as sourwood, locust, and wildflower. Imladris farm here in Fairview supplies us with jams and jellies. You pick pumpkins are just across the creek waiting for a home for Halloween along with the Corn Maze. Bring the family and enjoy the farm this Fall.
